Life at the house
The house every family dreams of having in Sicily: lived-in, real, with walls that have watched generations come and go.
This is the house of long tables. Grandparents, children, grandchildren, friends who joined at the last minute; lunch drifts into the afternoon and dinner drifts on under the stars. The kids have room to run until they drop. The grown-ups have shade, wine and no hurry at all.
In the morning it smells of the Iblean countryside. Five minutes away are baroque Scicli and the sands of Sampieri. But the truth is, this house doesn’t make you want to go out. It makes you want to stay, and invite someone else over.
One thing you should know: this house has a story, and it’s a family story. If you like, I’ll tell it to you when you arrive.
