Sicilian cooking, hands-on
A cooking class in your own kitchen: you’ll learn to make pasta by hand and proper scacce, you’ll laugh a lot, and then you all sit down and eat it together. The apron is yours to keep, and so are the recipes.
No off-the-shelf packages here. Just me, asking: what kind of holiday are you after? Beaches and doing nothing? Culture and baroque churches? Kids who need tiring out? Something to celebrate? Then I open my little black book, years of real local contacts, and your holiday starts to take shape.

A trip out by sailing boat or motorboat with people who have sailed these waters all their lives. Hidden coves, swims, the South-East drifting slowly past from its most beautiful side. Aperitivo on board, back as the sun gets low.

Rides through the Iblean countryside for every level, with local guides. The kids usually refuse to get off.

Europe’s most restless mountain, one excursion away. You set off early and come back with the best photos of the holiday and ash on your shoes.

Nero d’Avola, Frappato, Cerasuolo di Vittoria. I’ll pour them for you on the veranda at sunset, with homemade bread and cheeses from the Iblei hills. No lecture: just a chat with a glass in hand.

For kids, and for grown-ups pretending they’re only there for the kids: the animals, the vegetable garden, olive picking in season, cheese made right in front of you.

Kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkelling along the coast with local instructors. Beginners welcome: you start in the most sheltered coves.

A local chef cooks traditional Sicilian dishes for you, at the house, with whatever is in season. All you have to do is enjoy dinner.

Someone we trust to play with the children while you enjoy the pool, dinner out, or simply a quiet afternoon.

Because real luxury is not having to go anywhere: therapists arrive with everything they need, and all you have to do is pick a time. For one, or for two.

Early in the morning, while the air is still. Local teachers, mats provided, no experience needed.
Halal, vegan, gluten-free or anything else: just tell me when you book. It’s no trouble at all. It’s my job.
Tell me when you’d like to come, how many of you there are and what kind of holiday you have in mind. I’ll reply myself, the same day and usually sooner.
